letumgo 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 Beautiful pattern, oldhat! Great proportions and lovely color scheme. Can you list the make and size you used. I really like the limerick bend of the hook.

Old Hat 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2008 Thanks all. Letumgo - the hook is an Edgar Sealey and Sons S1034 Pennel's Limerick in a size 10. I aquired some of these vintage hooks a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed tying on them. I am looking forward to putting some quill wings on them soon. They have a great classic appeal that I love. Unfortunately my picture takes a bit of the look away in the vise.
steelie 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2008 Good Day, Although I dabble in the ultra realistic scene, there is something to be said about the beauty of simplicity. What a wonderful fly! And you know what... I bet it would take its fair share of steelhead too! Steelie
