Raffine Spent-Spinner

Nicely tied Dwiltshire ;)

 

I think the raffine works really well in your other patterns but on this fly I think they over emphasise the wings (could be the angle of the photo).

 

A great tie as usual, thanks for sharing

Mmmm... The picture does not really help due to the angle.

 

They do go a nice tranluscent colour / appeacnace when wet, which will fine down the effect a little. to give th limp, lifeless wings of the spent adult.

Hey Dwiltshire,

 

Having never tied/fished with raffine before I didn't know about the translucent effect when wet :whistle:

Translucent limp wings on a spent spinner sound perfect ;)

Looks like I'll be getting some raffine soon. I look forward to using it.
