JustinDavis 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 That's a great little nymph. It would work great here in western canada. Thanks for posting. Justin

Futzer 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 Hi Boynabubble, Nice stone. One thing I do with mine for durability is to use thin leather, nymph skin, or an over lay of ziplock back or scud back to add durability to the wing case. I have found that the fish really like to chew them up and the feather wing case fails and comes apart. Cheers, Futzer.
boynabubble 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 Hey Futzer, Thanks for the tip! I tie a lot of my nymphs with thin skin, but on this particular nymph I liked the softer look of the feather. This was just kind of a prototype of sorts, when I tie a few more for my box, I'll use your advice and tie them with thin skin and maybe even some flash. Thanks for checking out my pattern!
