I was wondering if anyone can give me a few ideas of what flies to fish on the Youghiogheny River. If you know what flies to tie and how to tie them that would also be greatly appreciated.

The yough is a pretty big river, just where are you planning on fishing? Below the falls, or near Connelsville, or up near Confluence or up in Maryland? The trout fishing is done mostly in the upper stretch between Confluence and the Yough dam, and upstream in Maryland. Smallmouth bass are found from the Confluence with the Casselman all the way to the mouth. I have even heard of Musky in the lower river. What would be your target fish?
