WTB Backpacking Setup

Dear FTF Member,
Support FTF by Subscribing to Hatches Today! 2011 Issue - In Stock
Since 2003 FlyTyingForum.com has grown from a handful of people to 30,000 registered members and has become the largest fly tying community in the world. In 2007 I published the first issue of Hatches because I felt the FTF community could offer a printed magazine that far exceeds anything the fly tying world has ever seen published. To this day, Hatches is largely made up of articles submitted to me by FTF member and FTF will continue to play a large role in the future of Hatches. Hatches truly is a grassroots effort, unlike many of the other publications in circulation that have the backing of large media corporations. The future of both Hatches and FTF depends on the support of FTF members like you. For $7 a year, you not only help ensure that I have the resources needed to be able to offer you all of the features you enjoy today free of charge, you also get 96 pages of pure fly tying awesomeness that is worth the price by itself. Click Here for Subscription Info Thank You -Will

Here's the deal, my boys have shown a great interest in Backpacking and The wife and I used to do alot of hiking and Backpacking years ago, so we were more than happy to take them. The problem is there are soooooo many sweet fishing spots off these trails one would have to be clinically insane or just stupid not to want to fly fish them.

I am looking for a 3 or more pc rod with a hard case in the 3-5 weight range. I can manage the reel but would be willing to consider anything out there. I would consider Redington, TFO, St Croix, Sage .....well I think you get the picture. Let me know If you see a deal also please share the link to it with me. Or if you have such a setup laying around collecting dust and wanna earn a little cash let me know! OR if you need a gear tester let me know LOLOLOLOLOL rolleyes.gif ...(it's worth a shot..lol)

Thanks for the help!!!

"The true trout fisherman is like a drug addict; he dwells in a tight little dream world all his own, and the men about him, whom he observes obliviously spending their days pursing money and power genuinly puzzle him, as he doubtless does them.".......Robert Traver "Trout Madness"

The solution to any problem- work, love, money, whatever- is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be......John Gierach

Well I use a TFO and absolutley love it! Of course, there's a special place in my hear to for a nice G. Loomis. Anywho, this is the rod I use:
