Dear FTF Member,
Support FTF by Subscribing to Hatches Today! 2011 Issue - In Stock
Since 2003 FlyTyingForum.com has grown from a handful of people to 30,000 registered members and has become the largest fly tying community in the world. In 2007 I published the first issue of Hatches because I felt the FTF community could offer a printed magazine that far exceeds anything the fly tying world has ever seen published. To this day, Hatches is largely made up of articles submitted to me by FTF member and FTF will continue to play a large role in the future of Hatches. Hatches truly is a grassroots effort, unlike many of the other publications in circulation that have the backing of large media corporations. The future of both Hatches and FTF depends on the support of FTF members like you. For $7 a year, you not only help ensure that I have the resources needed to be able to offer you all of the features you enjoy today free of charge, you also get 96 pages of pure fly tying awesomeness that is worth the price by itself. Click Here for Subscription Info Thank You -Will

The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum has combined its Annual Summerfest, Angler’s Market, and Jubilee Festival for an entire weekend. In 2010 it will be held on Saturday and Sunday August 7 & 8. This single event brings out the best in fishing treasures discovered over the past year from the closets, attics, and basements. Every year attendees search over 100 tables in the quest to find that unique outdoorsy thing, hard to find fly tying material, fly fishing collectible, gadget or obscure book. Combined with the highly successful Jubilee Festival it will be a Super Weekend in the Catskills.
Beginning at 8:30AM on Saturday the Anglers Market and Summerfest will formally open. An hour later Jubilee Festival opens for families and community neighbors to enjoy the many local civic organizations, health centers, farmers produce market, crafts and home goods vendors.
Daily activities will include “Is It Trash or Treasure Fishing Tackle”. Let Bob Selb from Classic Fly Fisherman help you identify that ‘fishing or outdoor thing’ and give you an honest appraisal of its value. Mike Canazon and the Bamboo Boys will be on hand both days from 2-3 PM with a bamboo rod casting demonstration and clinic.
Sunday is a super day.
The days activities will include a ‘students’ only (17and under) fishing derby’ to be held Sunday morning at 11:30AM at the CFFCM pond. Prizes will be awarded for first fish, most fish, largest fish and smallest fish. Kids are to bring their own tackle and favorite baits. At 1:30 The Great Willowemoc Fish Race will be held and immediately after will follow with the Jubilee Day Cake. The CFFCM will once again celebrate birthday and anniversary milestones ending in a 0 or 5. Everyone is welcome and cake will be provided at no charge. This is a fine day to share your celebration with your family and community.
Listen to the music of the Kurpil family Sunday from noon to 3:00 under the tent.
Tony and Agnes will be serving their classic sausage and peppers sandwiches and other grill treats the entire weekend, so bring the entire family and all of your friends.
The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum is located at 1031 Old Route 17 between Livingston Manor and Roscoe NY, just off exits 94 and 96. For more information on how to participate or become a vendor, contact the CFFCM at 845-439-4810.
