I got to spend Time with Paul Boss aka Riffleriversteelheadslayer and wife Brandi . Finally got to meet my buddy in person and do a little tying together. Paul and the misses arrived about 6pm and we chatted and fished for bass and gills till it was time to light the grill. Caught a few fish , enjoyed a nice dinner and spent the rest of the evening (til Midnite) laughing and tying. Paul's wife Brandi and my wife Marie hit it off and talked about whatever it is women talk about and left us alone to tie and swap patterns and flies. It was a great time. I wish we could do things like this more often.

Thanks Fred yes it was a great time and something we need to do more often Brandy said next time it will have to be in the fall or Spring and she said to tell Marie next time she wont be scared to walk out to see the horses as long as you send a gator patrol first
release a big one today and catch a trophy tomorrow

Next time plan to spend more time and I'll put you guys on some redfish and take you thru the marsh and show you the flora and faunna you can only find here.Your visit was way too short.

It's much better to tie with friends, isn't it. My neighbor and I have a tying table in my garage, and it's more enjoyable than tying alone. Occassionally I break out a bottle of Scotch or bourbon, and we sit and tie until late into the night.

Floyd it would have been great to have you there as well. I was telling Paul about an event I'm going to Nov. 5 thru 7 at N. Toledo bend Park. Tyers from Okla, Ark,Tx, La,Miss, and Ala. get together and tie , visit , eat and fish with no set times for anything. It was started by tyers that would tie at fff functions and club events , that found although they tied at the same events , they never really got to visit with each other. So they started this tyers rendesveaux just to get together and spend time sharring all that goes with the past time. It is a very economical, fun and relaxing weekend.
