I filled up two shopping carts late last night
The one was full of fishing gear, the other newcastle ale

So the 10 million dollar question will it dive or just swim? I kinda think it might dive but most people think it will just swim. the fly is a take off of a coyote ugly but tied with a modified magic cone. The cone is installed on a 60 degree bend jig hook

Wild fly, Matt! I really like it. I think it will sink and swim quit well, but I'm wondering how well it will cast. Seems like the material may retain a lot of water, which may make casting a challenge. I would be really interested to know how it casts and behaves in the water. I get a lot of pleasure out to the field-testing of new patterns.

Retaining water is less of an issue than you might guess, Fox tail dosent hold water like wool. (one reason I like it so much) and I tie it in in such a way that it looks very full but is acctually rather thin. the head of the fly is tall in its profile but it is less then a halt of an inch thick. (side to side) the zonker is a micro cut so it will hold less water than a standard cut. Im more worried about the cone in casting. We will see hopefully today. My goal (like all of my flies ) is to be able to cast it comfortably on a 6wt.
