If you have tied and fished it, what color combos have worked the best and did you add ribbing.
i thought i'd ask before twisting some up.
Thanks Brent.

I have tied it in a bunch of tan/darkbrown colors, and a dark olive version as well. Had some great luck on the olive, and not much with the tan and browns. I don't use the swiss straw it calls for, but use pheasant tail instead. I have had problems with the straw breaking up when it gets wet even after flex cementing it.

Is this the one to which you refer? This description indicates it is a "variant", so what does the "real" one look like?

Thx

The original was tied by Ian Collin James but here's a link for tying instructions:

The Muncher Ken posted is the one i was refering to.
i have some pretty scary combos going on.Finding a feather hackle small enough is killing me.i've even tied a few with Phesant Tail legging and some with a blue Rafia wing case that looks SWEET!
