Simple Hook Magnet

Go to any office supply store and ask for magnetic business card holders.
They are a thin adhesive backed magnet the size of a business card...Duh blink.gif
I put one on the base of vise or just about anywhere close to the vise.
It keeps hooks in their place when you are tying your flies. There are over 50 in a pack so you may want to share them with a friend or someone that uses business cards.

Great idea. Various packs of hooks come with a magnetic strip in the bag, and I use these for the same purpose. Cutting these strips and using them in a fly box would be a good idea, as well.

I bought some of that adhesive backed magnetic "tape" and layed a strip across the leading edge of my desk. This catches hooks before they get to the floor and helps keep peace in the house.
