Thanks, 2/0 hook. They look better than I had hoped. The palmered marabou really pulses against the foam body and the legs at the head work well. Might make some with a counter rib to help the marabou hold up a bit better.

Those are some pretty poppers, How do you trim them, using a razor, or scissors ??

Both, actually. I shave the bottom flat with a razor and then do most of the trimming with a pair of curved scissors.

Saw someone on the website caught a beautiful Redfish on the fly and I tied one like the crab he caught it on and modified it a little bit. Heres to the first fly of September and many more to come

September's hardly started and already there are some very pretty flies posted. I like that crab pattern, but I'm pretty sure I'm not up to that. Nice natural color combo.
