What the hey? Well anyway now I have a dozen Red Tag Crackelbacks ready for another swap. I was going to do a run of articulated nymphs I just got some stuff in for if I had time after I finally tackle the bass swap creatures, which I finally have decided on a pattern and need to get to work on. Dave, I just sold a Speyco trout reel to a guy in Tasmania. He just back from a trip to New Zealand and our fall he is going on a 7 country, 7 week swing though Europe and plans to fish every country. He says, ain't it great to be retired. Yeah, right, on his budget. On mine I have to think twice about whether I can afford those new feathers I need or not. I told him if he ever wanted to get over to your side of the world and fish Barramunda I'd put you in touch with him. By email he seemed like a heck of a nice guy, but then I hear all you Aussies are.

Yeah sorry Vic.  The swap just wasn't filling up as I liked, we still hadn't even filled half the spaces.

Sounds like a decent sort of bloke, wish I had that sort of budget too mate.

Maybe that double cost of going over the pond and then coming back is kind of prohibitive. You can always get filled up for Recovery flies but those only have to be paid to go one way in the lightest and smallest way they can be shipped.
