Hi... I'm trying to tie a Spent Caddis fly which calls for a blond hen pheasant flank tip for the wings.  Where do I find that particular feather?  or substitute?

I don't believe you'll find any pheasant feathers on a partridge skin.

Would they be asking for just use of the tip of the flank feather?

But I gotta agree with Bugsy... (hehee) on this one. ;)

The blond feathers are forward on the flanks, or the tips of the "church window" flank feathers further back.

You could use a ginger or sulphur Whiting hen cape.
