About Me

This year marks my 63th year of fishing, and my 53th year of fly-fishing. I have been tying flies to fish with for almost 50 years. I worked in various sporting goods or fishing tackle stores, for about 30 years. For about 20 of those years, I tied custom flies, for customers in the Western US. I tie mostly trout flies, but have done some salt water flies (mostly bone fish patterns,) and a lot of Pacific Salmon flies for customers heading for Alaska. I fish for anything that swims. Mainly trout, salmon, and steelhead, but I have been know to cast a streamer for musky, pike, and even walleye. I fish for both large and smallmouth bass as well as all panfish.

I moved to Orlando, FL in November 2012, so now I get to learn a lot more about Saltwater and warm water tying and fishing.
