I have been researching Whitetop Laurel Creek in Washington County, VA. I have all the web info I need and have spoken to a few guides in the area, but I used to guide, and I'm looking for "credible" information from anglers who have physically been on the stream and fished its waters. Anyone ever been there? Would love to get some first hand angler info.

It's supposedly one of VA's top trout streams and is only about 40 minutes from my hometown. I didn't get into "trouting" until years after I moved. Surely someone on the site has first hand info....

thanks, but I'm trying to stay away from the professionals. Was a memeber of that game for a while and would rather talk to guys about their own experiences on the stream. I did think of Mr Murray, but....

I'm up around that area during the summer. Should be fishing there during spring/summer for sure. I don't know exactly what to tell you in particular though, as I don't think I've ever fished it. You should also check out Helton Creek near Mouth of Wilson while you are up there. I don't know if you've ever fished that or not, but there are some good rainbows in there. Just keep driving past all the other fishermen you see out there. It's heavily fished, but most people stop at the first good looking hole they see. Be sure not to do that, there is too much pressure, just keep driving. Once you transition from gravel to pavement a few times, you should be good. Let me know how this goes for you, I would love some info.
