Tying Instructions: Attach White thread to hook, and place a strip of lead that starts from just behind the hook eye and extends to just past the midpoint of the hook. This will help the hook to ride point up.

Attach tail with the butts about at the end of the lead. Overwrap with thread.

At rear of hook, attach your rib and overbody materials, to be wrapped later.

Tie off and cut White thread.

Attach Orange Uni Stretch at head and wrap to tail, back to head, and back to tail.

Grab your swimmerets and place them near tail, staggered toward mid-body. Use the Orange Uni to secure them. (Lay one, secure it, lay another, secure it, and so on.)

At this point, the Uni should be at the middle of the body. Grab the Flashabou and begin wrapping forward. You can get it between the swimmerets by lifting them as you go. This will also allow you to wrap the F-bou right up against them, lifting them a bit. Continue the F-bou to the head and tie off short of the actual eye of the hook.

Bring the copper wire up the body in the same way, tie off in the same way.

Now, tie off the Uni-Stretch, cut, and reattach the White thread.

Near the head, attach a bit of Golden Pheasant Crest, curving outward, away from the hook.

Next tie in the Purple, Red and Orange marabou legs. I use the tips of the feathers, and they should reach the bend of the hook.

Finish the head with the White thread.

Now, turn the hook over in the vice, and attach you mono eyes. Store-bought or burned yourself, it doesn't matter. Just make them small enough to look like Shrimp eyes.

Finish with whatever you do to your heads, I prefer Loon penetrating cement if I use anything.

Presentation Tips: This fly is designed to look like a swimming Shrimp, so I think there are two best presentations; one being to swim it through the water with strips a few inches long at a time, with stuttering movements thrown in, and two being to dead-drift it along bottom with the occasional shudder to imitate a dying Shrimp. I've kept freswater Fairy Shrimp for years, and they only stretch out this far when they are in severe distress.
