Tying Instructions:
1. Wrap the shank from the eye to the back with the thread ;
2. Tie in the tag, I use small silver tinsel because I find that it gives more texture to the tag ;
3. Wrap the tinsel (4 wraps) and tie it down, cut the excess ;
4. Tie in the ribbing ;
5. Tie in the large flat silver tinsel for the body ;
6. Give it 4 to 5 wrap and tie it down ;
7. Tie in the spey hackle by the point, tie back the silver tinsel and give it two more wrap forward and tie down ;
8. Use the seal fur to dub the rest of the body ;
9. Wrap the ribbing over the body (5 turns, you know the drill) ;
10. Now, spin the hackle (4 or 5 turns) on the body, palmer style, keeping the fibers pointing to the rearward ;
11. Tie in a small throat of speckled guinea hackle, from behind the eye to the point of the hook ;
12. Tie down the wings using two small pieces (a ¼ inch width) from a gray turkey quill ;
13. Finish the head, try to keep it small, whip finish and lacquer the head.
