Hook, 3/0 Alec Jackson Spey
Underbody - Burlap
Rib - Black Wire
Tail - Turkey Flanks (Stripped Feather)
Body - Blended Rabbit Dubbing Brown/Black
Shell Back - Turkey Quill, Goose Biots
Legs - Pheasant Tail Fibers
Antenna - Turkey Saddle Quills (Stripped Feather)
Hard as Nails used to add shine and reinforce materials.

Tying Instructions: Tie in underbody.

Build underbody
Tie in tail
Create thorax one segment at a time with dubbing and turkey/biot shell.
Work sections of ribbing forward with each body segment.
Use Hard as Nails to coat each shell section, allow to dry before continuing.
Make dubbing thicker and tease more fibers out moving forward.
Tie in first set of legs prior to starting abdomen section.
Abdomen section (x2) made of three piece turkey quill with biots laid over seams.
Tie in second set of legs at second abdomen section.
Tie in turkey quill towards back of hook for wing case.
Tie in 3rd set of legs and antenna.
Build dubbed head and pull wing case over between legs and antenna.
Cast off.
