Imitation: Caddis Flies,
Thread: Ultra Thread 70 Denier - Brown
Body: Uni Stretch Floss - Green; Grizzle Hackle Palmered one size smaller then top trimmed.
Underwing: Barred Wood Duck
Wing: Mallard Quill or Goose Quill
Tying Instructions: Wrap thread from 1/3 point behind eye to just just past mid section; tie in a Grizzle hackle for palmer style body.
Wrap thread back to start point and tie in Uni Stretch Floss. Wrap floss from barb point to tie in location (2/3's point).
Wrap palmer hackle forward and tie off at 2/3's point. Trim top of palmer hackle flush to body.
Tie in a bunch of Wood Duck for underwing.
Tie in Mallard Quills (I use Softtex or Flex Cement treated Quills to make them more durable).
Wrap Brown hackle forward and tie off head.
