*Materials with links give you direct access to that product at the J. Stockard store.Tying Instructions: 1. Choose a 2 XL long wet fly quality hook. Tie Larva Lace along top 2/3 of shank of hook
2. Tie in Deer body hair for tail. The hair is used for uner body of numph as weill as wing case. (Do not cut). Wrap deer hair with thread along top 2/3 of shank of hook
3. Wrap Larva Lace tightly over deer hair to make segmented body of fly. Tie down and cut under thorax(Under front 1/3 of hook shank)
4. Apply dubbing to thread using a dubbing loop or directly on thread
5. Wrap dubbing to thorax of fly. Make sure to be generous with dubbing
6. Bring deer hair over thorax to form wing case. Tie in just behind eye of hook also, wrap thread in fron of deer hair to make hair stand up. Then cut off deer hair flat heaving about 1/8 inch of Deer hair cut ends showing. Now pick out dubbing to form the lock of legs.
