TYLER'S SHRIMP

Fly Type: General Saltwater,
Imitation: Shrimp/Prawns,
Material List:
Long shank size 8 hook
claws - Flo Pink marabou
eyes - burned mono
body - white dubbing pick out under hook
shell - thin skin
tail - small red wing feathers (just tips)
thread - neon pink
Tying Instructions: tie in marabou at hook bend
tie in eyes slightly behind marabou
tie on thin skin on top of eyes
run thread back to eye of hook
tie in tail and whip
add dubbing, dub forward to thin skin tie in point
pull thin skin over dubbing back to eye of hook
wrap thead over skin back to eye of hook to give impression on shell segments
tie off skin at tail tie in point add a few wraps to secure
trim skin
whip finish
take care around tail
once complete bend shank slightly to give curved look
Presentation Tips: Additional pictures are of my attempt to recreate this fly. I dubbed a little heavier than the first time we tied this, and once it was done I thought the eyes should have been a little longer.
