Black and Peacock Cruncher Variant
tied by TotallyFlyTying
Fly Type: Nymphs,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: General Europe,
Hook: Kamasan B170 size 12
Thread: Black 8/0 Uni
Bead: Any 2mm.
Tail: Black Hen Hackle Fibres
Body: LITE-BRITE Fire Fox Peacock wound on not dubbed!
Thorax: Any black dubbing or peacock herl. Not Seals Fur!
Thorax Cover: Same as body.
Hackle: Small Black Hen Hackle
Run the thread up and down the peacock body a few times to cover the peacock if, like me, you consider it to look a bit too 'flashy'.
Presentation Tips: Fish it on a Floating or Intermediate line with 10-13ft of flurocarbon. Use a slow figure of Eight retrieve and add in some SHORT jerky pulls.
