Fly Type: Spinners,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: General Europe,
Imitation: Mayflies,
Material List:
Hook: Kamasan B100 Size 12
Thread: Yellow
Body: Yellow Craft Foam
Tail: Golden Pheasant Tail
Wings: Yellow Mallard
Hackle: Silver Badger
Tying Instructions: 1. The body is tied using 2 pieces of foam side by side, with the tail fibres super-glued to one of them. Using a needle in the vise, each new segment is 'thread wrapped' after hiding the thread between the pieces of foam.

2. The formed body is then tied to the hook, followed by the hackle, and lastly the wings.

3. The hackle is wrapped forward, using 3-4 turns behind the wings and 3-4 turns in front of them.

4. The head is built up using thread, followed by a whip finish and head cement.
Presentation Tips: The wings can be splayed out 'spinner style', or upright 'dun style', by manipulating the Mallard feathers through the hackle fibres.
