Tying Instructions: Start with the head and add the mallard. Then some dubbing to move the eyes to the outside later. Mount the eyes and the antennas. Add a ripping thread. Tie in a hackle (only one side of the fibers left) pointing to the back of the hook. Add the dubbing. Wind the hackle to the hook eye (fibers back and down). Tie in a piece of transparent brown latex at the hook eye. Pull it to the back of the hook and fix it with the 0.20 mono. Whip finish.
