Silver 3D prismatic eyes, patch of pearl Sili Skin or Loco Foam. *Materials with links give you direct access to that product at the J. Stockard store. Tying Instructions: Tye in a tuft of white maribou at the hook bend, then a tuft of white angle hair... then take two rooster cape feathers and keep long but trim a little of the base tuft off. Then strip down the sides and remove the feather folicles up to the point where you would keep a small amount at the end to create a sort off spoon shape as the actual feeler tips look like. tye those in on the sides splayed outward. then tye in the 4 strands of flashabou, one on each side and one on the top and one on the bottom. Do the same with the Hackle tips... dab with super glue. Take some goop glue and secure your eyes where indicated. Then take your mylar tubing and cut it to fit it past the hook bend and slid it over the hook and tye down at the hook eyes. Then messure out the silil skin, and place it on top of the fly and carefully "wrap" it around without crushing your cylindrical shape, Keep in mind that the sili skin does NOT attach to the tubing but becomes secure when both edges of the sili skin meet at the bottom.. give yourself some room for error by ctting your patch large enough to secure easily under the fly... you will then trim off the excess...but NOT too close since it is at that point where the skin is sure on the fly. You can see from the picture that there is a little "ridge" under the fly.. that is well secure . Presentation Tips: Dead drift or sharp quick stripping motion. | Other Flies Tied by striblue Members That Bookmarked This Fly Also Bookmarked...
