TMC 2457 6-10, Pearl Ht braid, .5mm Streach Magic, Pearl blue Ice Dub, flour. fire Orange Angora Goat/Seynos laser dub, Tungsten Bead or Large round rubber Black for full dress version as eyes.
Tying Instructions: Tie The Ht Braid in right behind the eye of the hook and bring the thread all the way down the bend so you have the braid hanging off the front and rear. Tie in the strech magic rib. Dub the pearl Ice to the halfway point or thereabouts and add the hot spot. Finish dubbing the pearl ice to behing the hook eye. Bring the Shell over the top and secure behind the eye (Dont Trim Yet. Tie in the Large Round Rubber for eyes as you would any eyes. Bring the top portion of the braid back over the eyes and secure. Wind the rib to behind the fly eyes and tie off!
Presentation Tips: This has been my most productive fly at dusk for Salmon River steelhead. It was designed as a Mysiss shrimp pattern albeit much larger than the natural. Never the less this fly produces. Then I studided some Gammarus and thought what perfect match. Thus the name Gammaryiss! Just a little note: this fly is copyrighted and may not be sold comercially but you may tie and fish them yourself.
