Fly Type: Nymphs,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: Northeast US,
Material List:
Dai Ichi 1150 size 12 - 20
Black 8/0 Uni
Med Gold Wire
Brassie Gold Wire
Peacock Herl

Tying Instructions: Tie in a piece of med gold wire and brassie size gold wire.
Wrap both piece of wire in thread till you go around the bend of the hook slightly.
Wrap both pieces of wire back towards the eye of the hook making sure they are toughing wraps.
Tie off wire and snip.
Tie in herl and do 3-4 wraps to form the thorax.
Whip finish and your done.
When using wire it is a good idea to coat in cement so the wire doesn't tarnish, just be careful not to get the herl with a thin head cement because that will ruin your herl.

This is my go to brassie for trout and steelhead and it produces great for the first few months of fishing.
Presentation Tips: I sink it with split shot and drift it at a dead drift below an indicator.
