Presentation Tips: Fish this fly in the winter or spring when the little black stones start crawling on the banks of your favorite Steelhead river. I recall a day when I was fishing next to a guide with his friends on the Salmon. I was doing quite well with my choice of fly while the guide and his friends were struggling a little. One gentlman asked me what I was using and i told him a CDC caddis emerger #8 he shouted at his guide friend and I quote "I told YOU" ......... Steelhead Fisherman often underestimate the value of a hares ear lets say! or, in this case a CDC caddis emerger!
