Seal fur black and red
Black cock hackle
Black hen hackle.
Tying Instructions: Tie in black thread and run to bend of hook catching in tinsel on the way. Dub body, one third black, one third red, one third black seal fur. Tie in cock hackle and palmer back to bend three or four open turns. Wind tinsel forward catching cock hackle on the way. Secure tinsel and trim waste tinsel and cock hackle. Tie in hen hackle at shoulder and wind two turns. Secure hen hackle and trim waste. Whip finish and varnish head.
Presentation Tips: Usually top dropper of a three fly cast. But this fly is versatile enough to fish anywhere on your cast and it is worth tying on heavier hooks because it can do the business on the point.
