Ribbon Caddis

Fly Type: Nymphs, Weighted,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: General Europe,
Imitation: Caddis Flies,
Material List:
Hook: Any grub hook in an appropriate size.

Weight: (if required) A few turns of lead or none toxic wire.

Thread: Usually a neutral colour in 6/0 or 8/0. (You will not see it).

Body: Nymph Skin (available in many colours but here Iíve used yellow).

Rib: Stripped organza ribbon.

Thorax cover: Nymph Skin.

Legs: Partridge neck feather.

Thorax: A touch of loose dubbing, Here Iím using a mix of hareís mask and CdC fibres.

Presentation Tips: During a hatch of caddis flies tie it behind a largish Klinkhammer and cast it upstream. Stay in touch as it drifts down and hit any "unusual" movement of the Klink.
