Thread: choice
Tail: micro fibbets or coq de Leon
Rib: tying thread (optional)
Body: dubbing or biot
Wing case: medallion sheeting
Wings: medallion sheeting
Legs: deer hair



Tying Instructions: Attach thread and move to rear of hook. Do not cut off tag of thread. Tie in 4 microfibbets for the tail. Spit the tail fibers in half by bring the tag of the thread up and between the tailing fibers. Move thread to thorax area. Tie in a small bunch of deer hair on the underside of the hook with tips toward the front. Move to the rear of thorax area and tie in a thin strip of sheeting for the shell back. Dub the body back to the base of the tail and then rib forward with the thread. Tie in the wing sheeting material perpendicular to the hook in the center of the thorax and on top. Cut and shape the wings. Thinly dub your thread. In a figure eight fashion, dub the thorax while at the same time pulling small bits of the hair back and holding them in place with your wraps. Move to the eye and tie off.
