Hook: #8-#12 2x long dry fly hook
Thread: Veevus 8/0 rust
Rib: uniwire, x-small, tan
Shuck: antron yarn, brown
Tail: tips of peacock, dyed tan
Abdomen: natural snowshoe hares foot dubbing topped with peacock fibers from tail
Wing: deer hair, dyed olive
Thorax: natural snowshoe hares foot dubbing
Hackle: grizzly, dyed brownTying Instructions:
Tie in order of material list with following tips.
1.Shuck about 1/3 total body length. Don't trim off butt ends.
2.Tail: a little longer than shuck, don't trim off butts of peacock used for the tail.
3.Pull butt ends of antron and peacock over the dubbed abdomen. wrap with wire rib.
4. After tying in deer hair wing, tie in a thorax of dubbing underneath butt ends.
5. Pick out fibers of dubbing in the thorax and front portion of abdomen.
Dry fly presentation with small twitches of fly in surface.
