Imitation: General Baitfish,
•Hook - Sz 8 - 2xl bronze lure
•Rib - Silver mylar Uni #14
•Body - Grey floss
•Throat - Grey squirrel tail
•Wings - (in order) White calf tail, Silver/blue fox tail and Black buck tail.
•Cheeks - (optional) Red Lady Amherst
Tying Instructions: Instructions
Tie in mylar and move to the side.
Tie in floss and wrap the thread evenly up to the eye.
Wrap floss up the shank evenly as possible and tie down, snip off excess.
Wrap the mylar evenly around shank in order to create tab and then wrap up shaft making 5-6 wraps.
Tie off mylar and snip off excess. Tidy up a bit with a few wraps.
Flip hook over and tie on squirrel hair, snip off excess and tidy up with a dab of cement on hair and a few more wraps.
Flip hook upright and tie on calf tail. Snip off excess and tidy up with a dab of cement on hair and a few more wraps.
Tie on fox. Snip off excess and tidy up with a dab of cement on hair and a few more wraps.
Tie on a few buck tails. Snip off excess and tidy up with a dab of cement on hair and tidy up to form head.
Put cement on head and tie on cheeks.
Tidy up and finish head by a few coats of cement or varnish of your choice
