Chartreuse Wet Fly![]() tied by horseshoe Fly Type: Hairwing, Target Species: Trout, Recommended Region: Eastern Canada, Imitation: General Baitfish, Material List: •Hook - Sz8 - 2xl Bronze Lure •Rib - Silver Mylar uni #14 •Body - Yellow Floss •Wing - (in order) Chartreuse calf tail and Yellow squirrel tail. •Throat - Chartreuse Buck tail •Cheek - Hungarian Partridge Yellow Tying Instructions: Tie in the mylar above the barb and then move to the side. Tie in the floss then wrap thread evenly about 3/4 the way up the shaft. Wrap floss as even as possible up to the thread, tie down and snip off excess. Wrap mylar once in a band to create tag then wrap up to the thread with about 3-4 wraps. Tie down securely and snip off excess. Tie down the calf tail, wrap 3-4 timed securely, cut off excess at an angle and place a dab of cement before wrapping a few more times to secure. Tie down the squirrel tail, wrap 3-4 times securely, cut off excess at an angle and place a dab of cement before wrapping a few more times to secure. Flip the hook and tie on the buck tail, snip off excess, apply a dab of cement and wrap securely. Flip hook upright and form head. Tie on Partridge on each side of head and wrap to form head.
