Brown Quilled Fly

Fly Type: Deer Hair,

•Hook - Sz8 - 2xl Bronze Lure
•Rib - Gold Mylar uni #14
•Body - Brown Floss
•Wing - Ozark Orig. Mottled Quill Brown/Gold
•Collar - Natural Deer Hair
Tying Instructions: Tie in the mylar above the barb and then move to the side.
Tie in the floss then wrap thread evenly about 3/4 the way up the shaft.
Wrap floss as even as possible up to the thread, tie down and snip off excess.
Wrap mylar once in a band to create tag then wrap up to the thread with about 3-4 wraps.
Tie down securely and snip off excess.
Tie down the Quill, wrap 3-4 times securely, cut off excess at an angle and place a dab of cement before wrapping a few more times to secure.
Tie on deer hair and spin. Do this enough times to bring it just before the head.
Trim off the hair with scissors or blade in order to shape collar.
Wrap to form head. Whip finish.
