Deer Hair Hula Popper

Fly Type: Poppers/Sliders,
Target Species: Freshwater Bass,
Hook: Gamakatsu B10S, size 2
Thread: GSP 200 denier
Skirt: silicone or rubber legs
Body: deer belly hair, stacked
Tying Instructions: Hair is stacked, not spun, packed very tight. Coat the front portion with flexible waterproof cement such as Dave's Flexament, Liquid Fusion or any of the UV cure coatings like Clear Cure Goo or Solarez. Use your thumb and forefinger to shape the hair so that it forms a forward-leaning collar and to form a cupped face on the front of the fly.
Presentation Tips: splat....twitch....pop-pop...and so on around the edges of lily pads or submerged weed beds, next to docks or other structure.
