Hook-Mustad 33903 #6 Kink Shank

I use the kink shank hook because it's got a long shank and wide gap. Any long Freshwater dry fly hook will work fine though.

Tying Instructions: 1)Start thread and tie in foam leaving about 1/4inch extended off the hook.
2)Wind thread up the shank making 3 body sections. Stop thread about 1/4in. behind hook eye.
3)Tie in elk hair with the tips facing forward over the hook eye.Fold the elk hair back over the hook and tie off where the foam ends.
4)Tie in a peice of rubber leg matieral on each side of head making a wide V.
5)Whip finish and apply head cement.
Presentation Tips: Any Hopper Retreive.Near grassy and undercuts banks especially.
