Tying Instructions: These flies are just another variation on the clouser minnow. Materials are added in the order listed.
Presentation Tips: The two flies in the attached image are in muted colors for smallmouth. The tan fly has a dark olive tail to show the proportions of each component. Flies that are one color (such as the black one here) show complete continuity in the water.The rabbit and maribou have action in the water with little movement, so it really doesn't take much effort to get these flies to look alive. They're best fished near the bottom.
