Material List:
Dry fly hook, 1x fine sizes 18-28
8/0-10/0 thread in color to match
ostrich herl
Hen neck
Tying Instructions: 1. Tie in two fibers from hen neck divided as tail
2. strip ~1/2 of a ostrich herl strand
3. tie in stripped end of strand and wrap forward such that about 2/3 of the way forward you will start wrapping actual herl.
4. tie in enough herl to make a small puff
5. finish, i usually don't cement my midge heads.
Presentation Tips: Fish as a dropper off of gnats or other dry flies.
