*Materials with links give you direct access to that product at the J. Stockard store.
Tying Instructions: Prepare hook shank with white danville thread and take a white maribou plum and pluck the tip off and bunch onto bend of the hook shank. Then fold in a dozen or so pearl flashaou fibers along both sides. Then tie in the base ends of the hackles..one right next to each other at the hook bend where you tied in the maribou. Take the last hackle feather that was tied in and palmer forward, tie in at the hook eye, then do the same with the second and then the third . Palmer them in at the spaces you created by the preveious hackles...so that they are all in and give some thickness. Then trim the sides of the fly close to the shank, but just trim slightly along the top and bottom... the fly body should not be round, but flatish. Build up a slight head with the thread and goop in the eyes so that they are secure and will not fall off with the epoxy application, and then fill in the top and bottom spaces inbetween the eyes with epoxy and epoxy lightly over the eyes to lock them in.
Presentation Tips: I listed this as a flats fly for stripers but I would also use this with False Abacore and Bonito.
