red thread, wet fly or small wide gap streamer hook, blue or peacock glass bead, red wool and red krystal flash, white polypro yarn, white then yellow and purple duster fibers trimmed minnow style. purple and red markers and epoxy
Tying Instructions: slip on bead attach thread about half way along shank, tie on red wool and krystal flash. tie off and clip thread. add a drop of crazy glue and slip bead onto glue. let dry. reattach thread in front of bead, tie on more red wool. white polypro yarn and duster fibers as listed above. make markings on body with red marker. Coat head and just behind the bead with epoxy leting some of the epoxy run into the orriginal thread wraps. This secures everything. Coat the epoxy at the head with a purple marker
Presentation Tips: This a take off of a pattern I saw in a magazine called a lake emerald erie shinner. I have only ever used it once on opening day of trout season 2 years ago. It was the only fly that produced. I caught a 14 inch brown. I forgot about this fly until I found it today. fish it like a streamer
