Stockard store.Tying Instructions: attach thread about 2 to 3 eye spaces back( leave enough bare shank for deer hair head)and tie on tail of marabou, add krystal flash, attach chennile and wrap 1/4 of the body make a few wraps of thread over the chennile on the bottom of the shank. attach the mallard flank. hold back the flank and continue to wrap the chennile to start.
palmer wrap the body hackle forward. tie off stem. add the skirt and peacock herl underwing
attach the wing and wrap it a few turns, then invert fly and tie marabou wing as a throat,( described as tied up as a wing either description its still a wing)
add peacock eye strands as topping attach an oarnge saddle hackle for a collar. then stack yellow deer hair on top ans bottom of the shank. spin clumps of deer hair until the shank is full. whip finnish trim the head flat on bottom and the rest round
