Target Species: Freshwater Bass,
Recommended Region: Central US,
Imitation: General Baitfish,
Material List:
Magnum Naturall Rabbit strips
Tan leech yarn
Copper ribbing
Tan sof hackle feathers
Fox tail
Tying Instructions: Start by tying in the copper ribbing in the back and then follow with the leech yarn. Wrap the body forward and back a few time to build up some bulk. Be sure to leave about 1/4 of the hook shank for the head and tie off the body. Tie in the rebbit strip and secure Matuka Style with the copper rib. Add a hackle feather to each side as the fins. For the head create a large dubbing loop and fill liberally with the more coarse part of the fox tail closer to the 'stem' of the tail. spin the dubbing loop and then wrap around the hook shank and tie off. Once tied off pick the fur into a ball and then trim to size.
