Hook: #2-10 3XL- 2XH, Orvis #???? size 6, used here. If you'r fishing for landlocked salmon or fish that strike short use a longer shank hook.

Body & Rib: Silver 2 stranded metallic floss, tied in at the eye and wound flat back to the bend then twist the 2 strands into 1 tight strand and wind back to the eye. Note: The classic recipee of this fly uses a flat tinsel with oval rib.
Wing: white bucktail topped by black bucktail then topped by brown bucktail. Equal amounts of white & black bucktail should be used and the amount of brown bucktail should be 1 1/2 to 2 times the amount of white bucktail used.
Eye: optional painted or stick on
