Tubebody: 1" long Copper Tube (HMH Type G, Lined Copper, 3/32" OD) - The metal tube acts as the weight for the fly.
Use flexable tubing to hold fly to the hook of your choice. The following hooks work nicely with tube flies (Daiichi Xpoint X510 & Daiichi 2450). Recommended hook sizes - 4, 6 & 8.
Thread: Tan 6/0 Uni-Thread
Claws: Hen Mallard Flank Feathers
Antennea: Pheasant-Tail Fibers (6 to 8)
Carapace & Back: Furry Foam (Color of your choice)
Underbody: Pale gray-green rabbit dubbing with a bit of antron dubbing for sparkle.
Legs: Ginger or Honey colored saddle hackles.
Tying Instructions: Tied in the same manner as original Clouser Minnow.
Presentation Tips: Dead drift or slow strip-pause retreave across the bottom to imitate a crayfish.
