Queen of the Waters (varient)

tied by Alex_F
Fly Type: Attractor Pattern,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: Northeast US,
Material List:
Hook: #8-12 Partridge Captain Hamilton or similar.

Silk: Brown

Tail: Red/brown Cock Hackle fibres.

Body: Hot orange Seals fur.

Rib: Oval gold tinsel.

Body hackle: Red/brown Cock hackle.

Wing: Silver grey Mallard flank.

Head hackle: Red/brown Hen hackle.
Tying Instructions: This little beauty should need no introduction to you folks.

The minor variation is the SF body instead of floss as it produces a nice halo effect. The Hen hackle is for a bit more movement when working the fly in still water.
Presentation Tips: A top dropper or 'bob' fly to be worked in or just under the surface. Also useful deeper when Trout are feeding in a Daphnia bloom.
