Presentation Tips: Cast and retrieve to imitate a fleeing baitfish/minnow. This fly looks very realistic in the water.
The fly is rather heavy to cast, I I would recommend using at least a 5 wt rod.
Note - the fly actually sinks very slowly. When it is fished with a floating line, it rides about a foot under the surface when it is stripped in. If you are fising deeper water, you may want to use a wet tip or full sink line to get the fly deeper.
