Hook - Mustad 9672 (Sizes 4 thru 10) or equivallent
Thread - White 6/0
Weight - Silver Dazl Eyes (The eyes were colored in with red and black permanent markers)
Tail - Ostrich Plume (Tied in by the butts so soft tips can move in current. Ostrich is used instead of marabou to prevent the material from folding back over the hook point and fouling the hook.)
Body - Holographic Silver Estaz - Large
Hackel - White Saddle Hackel (Stiff stuff)Tying Instructions:
Tied in the order the materials are listed above. This fly is tied like a cross between a wooly bugger and a Clouser Minnow.
Cast quartering upstream and let sink to the bottom. Fish dead drift style.
This fly works on both bass and steelhead
