Tying Instructions: Tie on the crests for tail. advance thread to near eye and attach silver wire on the bottom of the hook shank and wind thread rearward to where tail is attached. Attach wing/tail rabbit strip with a few firm wraps. Just in front add the silver mylar rib. Attach Uni stretch, and advance tying thread to near eye of hook. Wind the uni stretch forward and back about 4 times, to build a big fat tapered body. tie off near eye. spiral wrap the second rib forward. Pull the tail/wing rabbit strip forward and tie off with about 4 wraps. Leaving enough room for the same strip to be palmer wrapped twice, and remainder of fly. Moisten the wing part of the rabbit strip and spiral wrap the first wire rib just behind the second mylar rib. Make one turn with the wire where the wing strip is attached near the eye to secure and then in front of the strip and tie off wire with about 8 firm wraps forward. twist off the wire and then make neat thread wraps back to where the wing strip is attached near eye. Take a bodkin/needle and place a drop of zap a gap on it. dab the rear wing/tail tie in point to secure it and make it durable. While it dries add markings to the rabbit strip. (I did this because the hide strip was really white. I know it will darken but thought the added colour would look good. Oh yea dont hit the body with the marker like I did). Add throat the palmer wrap collar. Add sides, beard and cheeks. Form a neat thread head, then add stripe of red and cement head.
Presentation Tips: Fish as a streamer, or as a wet fly for steelhead or salmon. who knows many species have been taken on a grey ghost.
