Hook TMC 300 size 2
Thread black 8/0 uni thread, clear head cement
Tail orange hen hackle barbs tied short
first rib silver wire
wing/tail black zonker strip
second rib flat silver mylar
body Kreinik 060 medium #16 braid tied from about 1/4 of the shank back
collar black deer hair on top of shank red marabou underneath
Head spun and clipped black deer hair
Tying Instructions: Attach thread in middle of shank attach tail. Just above the barb Advance thread forward to about 1/4 of the shank back. attach first rib, on the bottom of shank, and bind down along the shank to tail tie in point. Add wing/tail with a few firm wraps. Just in front add second rib, advance thread to where the first rib was attached add body material. Wrap the body rearward and back. counter spiral wrap the second rib forward, bring wing forward and tie off. then follow the second rib with the first, over the wing strip, to bind it to the shank. I made two turns at the tail. Tie on a clump of deer hair on top of the shank at wing tie in point and red marabou on the bottom of the shank. spin and clip clumps of deer hair to form head.
